BRAZIL WELCOMES FOURTH AND FIFTH JOHNNY ROCKETS RESTAURANTS AT IGUATEMI SOROCABA MALL AND BOULEVARD SHOPPING NAÇÕES

August 07, 2014

Global restaurant chain Johnny Rockets has opened the doors to its fourth restaurant in Brazil, while preparing for its fifth later this month. With 20 years of experience in the restaurant business, franchise owner Antonio Augusto operates all five restaurants and is working with Johnny Rockets to open two more restaurants in 2014.

“After seeing how successful Johnny Rockets has been in Brazil this past year, we are confident that these two new restaurants will help solidify a connection between Brazilians and our brand,” said John Fuller, CEO of Johnny Rockets. “The bright, modern, energetic atmosphere of our restaurants complements the aesthetics and environment of these two dynamic lifestyle centers.”

Offering Johnny Rockets’ classic American menu, dancing servers and sing-along music selection, the newest location at Iguatemi Sorocaba Mall in São Paulo, which opened on July 19, 2014, serves as an ideal place for guests to refuel while shopping. Boasting 4,300 square feet, the restaurant provides seating for 150 guests and serves Johnny Rockets’ signature fresh hamburgers and sandwiches, hand-spun shakes and delicious American fries and onion rings.

The next Johnny Rockets will open in Sao Paulo’s Bauru City the last week of August.  It will occupy approximately 4,000 square feet in Boulevard Shopping Nações.

Augusto opened two other Johnny Rockets restaurants in São Paulo this year. At 9,655 square feet, the West Mall Plaza location, which opened in June, is Brazil’s largest Johnny Rockets restaurant with 182 seats. The location offers a children’s playroom, a test kitchen and serves as headquarters for Johnny Rockets Brazil.

The Tiete Plaza Mall location opened in March and, as with all of the Johnny Rockets restaurants in Brazil, offers a Picanha patty, a signature Brazilian meat cut, as well as the chain’s classic menu items that include 100% beef hamburgers, signature sandwiches, American fries and onion rings.

Last December, Augusto also opened the first Johnny Rockets restaurant in Brazil in Guarulhos, a suburb of São Paulo city and minutes from the country’s largest international airport, Guarulhos International Airport.

“There isn’t anything else like this in Brazil,” said Augusto. “The authenticity of the brand, combined with enthusiastic music and dancing, makes for a truly unique and memorable experience for families in Brazil. We are looking forward to providing more Brazilians with a delicious and exciting dining experience as we work to open at least 20 more restaurants within the next ten years.
